Son of a Fish

We made a family trip to Petsmart today.  We needed some more puppy food and we also got some chew toys and then some fish for the smaller tank.  So here’s the story about our fish…

When we moved here a little over a year ago, we had 2 tanks to move with us and we only had a handful of fish left.  One tank had 3 aggresive fish in it, African Ciclids.  While moving those went over to Marcus’s moms house and she ended up keeping them.  Only 1 remains now.  The other tank only had 1 fish.  We gave that fish to my mom to put in her tank.  So we had our one 30 gallon tank that we brought over and got all new fish for it.  We got 2 kissing fish, 2 red tailed sharks, 2 catfish and 2 Bala Sharks.  All of these fish are tropical semi aggresive, so they can all live together.  Well, to make this short… the Bala’s both died and the red tailed fish were fighting so we took one out and put him into a 10 gallon tank by himself.  We thought he had died because we hadn’t seen him since we put him in there…  We’ve had that happen before, where fish swim up in the castle ornament and just disappear.  So we stopped feeding him and unplugged it.  That was WEEKS ago.

So… we got back today, plugged in the tank, added some new water and cleaned it out…  Then added our new fish who are NON Agressive.  Well wouldn’t you know it… this fish came out from hiding!  He killed a fish before we realized he was there…  But it just amazes me that he was still alive!

PS:  I think we have come up for a name for the puppy.  We’ve been calling him Bailey, even though he has no clue what that means yet…  he doesn’t turn to come to us or anything, of course we have only been using it for 2 days.  I suppose if someone
