Heartbreaker
…until the other day of course. We had a playdate and we had M, her mom and little brother over. We were downstairs with the little guys while M & C were playing in his room. Well, M started crying hysterically and she came down and said over and over “it’s not the same, it’s not the same…” We eventually found out that this meltdown was related to this fake silver ring that had a huge blue stone on it… C kept saying, “but it’s for Jayden!!! I’m sorry Maddy, but it’s just not yours!” Caleb picked out this ring for J when we went to chucke cheeses the other day. He’s been saving it for her in his treasure box and I guess M found it. I told her that the next time we go to CEC, we’ll get her one too! She nodded her head but still kept saying, “it’s not the same!”
Well, later that night I met up with her mom (at book club) and she told me that she found out more about what happened… Apparently, Caleb said to her that he wasn’t going to marry her anymore because he was going to marry J. THAT’S why she said it wasn’t going to be the same anymore! Poor girl… She’s had her heart broken at 4 years old!! I would want to say something to Caleb about how to be nice in these “situations” but I’m not sure how… I thought I would have this conversation at 12. Not 4!

Bruises, Scrapes and Broken Bones
I carried Caleb all the way out to the car. He held his fingers up in front of him and started crying out, “Oh no, oh no, oh no!!! I can’t move my fingers mom, I can’t move my…” and broke off into a cry. My heart just sank… My poor baby broke his finger and I felt partially responsible. Marcus was the one who drove us to the hospital. I was trying to calm Caleb down on the way… It was the longest trip to the hospital! The speed limit was 55 and we were going 50. Marcus was freaking out, and Caleb was still sobbing. I managed to hold it together.
So we get to the hospital and I sign in at the front desk and we get an ice pack. Before they call us up to register I notice that Caleb MOVED his fingers. I almost wanted to just get up and leave right then and there, but they called us up as the thought entered my mind. We registered and got put into a room… waited for the doctor and had the x-rays taken… waited some more and then were released with nothing but a swollen finger and some nail bruising. The doctor did say that he probably popped the finger out of place and then popped it back in while we waited. Great!
I’m sure this isn’t the last ER visit related to bruising, scrapes and broken boys. After all, I do have 2 boys!

puppy names
Well, last night we had all sorts of names picked out for our new little guy. Marcus suggested Bailey 2.0, which… I guess I wouldn’t mind, but I wouldn’t add the 2.0 part. Caleb came up with the name Steve, and I have no clue where that name came from. We considered Max, but I think that’s what MIL will be naming her pup. I don’t think we have finalized on a name yet, but Bailey is in the lead at the moment.
Last night we were just calling him Pup Pup, and we gated off the master Bath so that the puppy could sleep up there with us. Well he wimpered a little and kept us up, which I expected. I can sleep thru it, but I guess Marcus was bothered. Ha ha! Around 2:00, Caleb was coughing pretty bad, and I went in to get him out of bed so that I could give him some cough medicine and since he wanted some milk, I made him use the bathroom. Well, he really wasn’t feeling good and threw up a little while we were in the bathroom, so I grabed his sleeping bag and he camped out on the floor in front of the bathroom.
At one point Marcus went in to calm the pup down and came back to bed saying, “We need to figure out a name for him!” All of a sudden, I hear Caleb in the softess wisper saying, “Daddy… his name is just Steve!” I couldn’t help laughing a little. It was so cute! He loves that pup. He woke up extra early just to play with him!
We’ll figure it out soon enough.

Up to something new..
Alec is getting better at the whole walking thing… It’s weird because with Caleb, he just got up and walked across the room. Alec has been “almost walking” for a loooong time now. Last night I got home and he was standing in the middle of the room, I watched as he took a few steps and then fell down. Then he stood up again, without holding onto anything to pull up on. Since he’s learning to walk at a more gradual pace, he should get the hand of it soon!
My Creative Memories Business has been picking up and I have 7 consistant customers now. I started a sale this week that I plan on getting a lot of business from. I will be sending out an email to my customers ever day to let them know what the sale of the day is. It’s exciting! I will probably be doing a sale now every now and then just to get the sales in! It’s good for the extra money!

Caleb’s ABC Adventure!
Everyday, I check out this goodyblog for all sorts of awesome things to do with the kids! I’ve gotten a lot of helpful tips from them and today they had a link up to create your own short video with your kids picture in it. I tried it out and Caleb loves it! He wants to watch it over and over again…. As soon as it’s finished he laughs and says, “Play it again!”

growing up…
Caleb Jordan Stone: I decided one Saturday to work hard all day, cleaning and organizing… Then I went to my Aunt’s house and we all helped each others cars (4 total). We had a large meal and before leading home I went to use the bathroom. My water broke (actually more like a leak…) while I was sitting there. No one believed that my water had broken and I was almost on my way out the door, but I decided to call my doctor just to check. Well, she didn’t believe me either, but she told me to go intot he hospital just in case. As I was dressing into my hospital gown (almost an hour and a half later) and I stepped out of my jeans, is when my water gushed. Caleb was born a little over 9 hours later. I remember the Redskins winning that day!

Alec Jordan Sattler: I decided one Saturday that I was done being pregnant and I walked around the mall for almost 2 hours. When I got home, I walked to the shopping center and into each store until I got to Walmart. I was in so much pain from walking that I called Marcus for a ride home. That night I layed down to go to bed and I felt that my pants were a little wet. I was leaking a little and again was not sure if it was my water or not. Again, the doctor did not belive me and told me to wait at home until contractions started. I waited 6 hours and no contractions came, but a whole lot of water did! I went to the hospital where the nurses were surprised to see me. We started Pitocin and Alec was born a little over 3 hours after starting pitocin. I remember the Redskins lost that day.

Caleb’s 4th Birthday
I realize that I am over a week late in posting this… But the past couple of weeks have been busy and I have a few more blogs to post AFTER this as well….
We had Caleb’s 4th birthday Party the Saturday after his party. Everyone who I invited came, and we had a lot of fun! I didn’t do everything that I had planned on doing, but it was such a good party anyways! After everyone showed up, we had the kids put on the sorting hat and they were sorted into 4 houses. Then we decorated party hats and the kids got thier wands. We had Caleb show the rest of the kids the spell to use when you see a dementor. That’s when we dropped the dementor pinata from the deck. Unfortunatly, the pinata was too tough for the kids… and the stick broke! So, we dumped the prizes out and we had cake. The cake turned out to be pretty good… I really though I had gotten in way over my head until it was done. Everyone loved it and everyone was really impressed, which mad me feel better about it. Anyways… I was happy witht he party.
One part I forgot. We opened gifts after most of the party had left. We still had family and a few of our close friends around. It wasn’t so crazy and he got TONS of stuff!!! I got him a radio flyer scooter, which he loves! We go out to ride it all the time and it’s easy for us to take along with us to the park or to grandma’s house.
